Miners Castle Miners Castle
Miners Castle is one of the most recognizable formations in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It is located 6.5 miles east of Munising. It is accessible by car with a short walk to the location. Recently it lost one of it's two towers.

Many areas of the Pictured Rocks reach to 200 feet in height! The name "Pictured Rocks" came from the mineral stain that appears on the sandstone cliffs as nature and weather expose the rock.
